Obverse description Central field bears a bold Arabic religious legend in cursive Nasta'liq script, enclosed within a double circular border. The inscription, reading 'Shah-an-shah Anbiya Muhammad' (King of Kings of the Prophets, Muhammad), is rendered in high relief with characteristic floral dot embellishments scattered throughout the field. The entire central device is framed by a prominent lobed or scalloped border of petal-like segments, typical of Qajar hammered gold coinage, lending the flan its characteristic irregular, flower-shaped outline.
