Reverse description The reverse displays a multi-line Persian legend in Nasta'liq script within a lobed oval cartouche, reading 'Zarb Dar al-Saltana Isfahan 1247' (Struck at the Seat of the Sultanate, Isfahan, AH 1247). The cartouche is set within a rectangular frame adorned with floral and scrollwork arabesques at the corners and margins, characteristic of the Esfahan mint style under Fath Ali Shah. A beaded border encircles the outer edge of the flan, and the AH date 1247 appears prominently in the lower portion of the central legend.
