Obverse description The obverse features a two-line Persian legend in bold Nasta'liq calligraphy arranged within an oval cartouche, reading 'Sikka-yi Fath Ali Shah Khusraw Kishwar Sitan' (The coin of Fath Ali Shah, Khusraw, conqueror of the land). The cartouche is framed by a raised linear border, with the surrounding field left plain. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded outer border running along the coin's periphery, typical of Qajar hammered gold coinage of this period.
