Obverse description The obverse field is entirely occupied by a bold, calligraphic Persian-script legend executed in a flowing Nastaliq hand, reading 'al-Sultan ibn al-Sultan Fath Ali Shah Qajar', proclaiming the royal titulature of the Qajar sovereign. The inscription is arranged in multiple registers across the flan, with the dominant central strokes sweeping diagonally in characteristic Nastaliq style. Decorative pellet groupings are interspersed throughout the field, adding ornamental texture to the composition. The entire design is enclosed within a prominent border of large, evenly spaced beads that follows the coin's circumference. The overall aesthetic reflects the refined calligraphic tradition of early nineteenth-century Qajar court art.
