Reverse description The reverse is dominated by a multi-line Arabic calligraphic legend in Nasta'liq script, boldly struck and filling the entire field within a plain inner border. The central inscription reads 'Al-Sultan Fath Ali Shah Qajar' (The Sultan Fath Ali Shah Qajar), proclaiming the reigning monarch's titles. The AH date 1213 appears prominently at the base of the field, rendered in Eastern Arabic numerals. Decorative pellet ornaments and flourishing calligraphic terminals animate the field, consistent with the artistic conventions of early Qajar hammered gold coinage. The raised rim, slightly uneven due to the hand-striking process, frames the design on all sides.
