Obverse description Archaic four-spoked wheel depicted in a schematic, primitive style, centrally placed within the field, with four pellets positioned between the spokes serving as value marks denoting the triens denomination. The design is rendered in low relief characteristic of Etruscan cast bronze coinage, with no legend or inscription present. The flan is irregular and thick, consistent with the heavy cast aes grave tradition of central Italy.
