| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a bold equal-armed cross pattée with seriffed terminals, around which radiates a circular legend in debased Latin capitals. The inscription D N DESIDERIVS RXV runs around the inner field, separated from the cross motif by a plain inner border. The lettering is rendered in the characteristic angular, semi-barbarous style typical of late Lombard hammered gold coinage. The overall design is contained within a plain raised rim, and the flan is notably irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-hammered production of the period. |

| Reverse description | Central motif consisting of a large rayed wheel or star pattern, formed by a circle with eight radiating spokes or petals, enclosed within a plain inner border. The circular legend FL · AVIA NOVATE runs around the field, referencing the Flavian mint at Novate. A small cross appears above the central device, serving as a dividing mark or piety symbol. The lettering exhibits the same semi-barbarous, angular character as the obverse, consistent with Lombard provincial die-cutting of the late eighth century. The flan is irregular and the relief is moderately bold. |
