| Obverse description | Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed imperial bust facing right, rendered in the late antique Byzantine style. The effigy is encircled by a partially legible or garbled Latin legend, reflecting the Germanic imitator's imperfect copying of Byzantine prototypes. The portrait retains the general stylistic conventions of contemporary Byzantine tremisses struck under Constans II, though executed with notably less precision. |

| Reverse description | A bold cross pattée on steps or base occupies the center of the reverse field, closely imitating the standard Byzantine tremissis reverse type. The cross is surrounded by a degenerate, pseudo-Latin legend composed of nonsensical letter-like characters, indicating the work of a Germanic die-cutter unfamiliar with the Latin alphabet. The exergue area contains further garbled inscription elements, and the entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. The overall execution is characteristic of barbarian imitative coinage of the late 7th century. |
