Reverse description The reverse presents a large wreath encircling the central legend, composed of two distinct branches: the left branch bears hollyhock (aoi) leaves and blossoms, while the right branch features chrysanthemum foliage, both tied at the base with a decorative ribbon bow. The Imperial chrysanthemum mon, a sixteen-petaled blossom, is prominently placed at the top center above the wreath. Within the wreath, the three kanji characters 貿易銀 (Trade Silver) are inscribed vertically in the field. The composition is entirely enclosed by a finely milled border, presenting a refined and formal aesthetic consistent with Meiji-era official coinage design.
