Reverse description Central device depicts the Lion and Sun emblem of Qajar Iran: a passant lion facing left, holding an upright sword in its right forepaw, with a radiant rising sun behind its back. Above the lion, a Kiani crown is displayed at the top of the field. The central device is enclosed within a wreath of olive branches to the left and oak branches to the right, tied at the base with a ribbon. The denomination legend appears in the lower central field beneath the lion, and the AH date 1281 is inscribed in Eastern Arabic numerals in the exergue below the wreath. A beaded border encircles the entire design.
