Reverse description Central device depicts the Iranian royal emblem: a radiant sun rising behind a lion passant brandishing an upraised sword, surmounted by a crown. The central device is enclosed within a beaded border and surrounded by a laurel and palm wreath tied at the base. The denomination 'یک تومان' (One Toman) appears in the upper field and the date '۱۳۲۱' (AH 1321) appears below the central device; this date is an error — the die was intended to read AH 1312 (1895 AD), making this a notable mule with an inverted and transposed date.
