Reverse description Central device depicts the Imperial Persian Lion and Sun emblem: a lion passant to the left, holding an upright sword in its right paw, with a radiant sun rising above its back. Above the lion, a Qajar crown appears at the top of the inner field. The denomination 'یک تومان' (One Toman) is inscribed below the lion, and the date '۱۲۹۶' in Eastern Arabic numerals appears beneath that, within a beaded inner circle. The central device is framed by an ornate wreath of laurel and oak branches tied with a ribbon at the base, all struck in sharp relief on a polished gold flan.
