Reverse description The reverse features a central oval cartouche enclosed within a beaded inner border, bearing a four-line Arabic legend in bold Naskh script naming the ruler. The cartouche is framed by a wreath of oak branches with acorns tied at the base with a ribbon bow, a common decorative motif of Qajar coinage. The mint name طهران (Tehran) appears in the lower exergue beneath the wreath. The design is executed with crisp, deeply struck relief against a smooth field.
