| Reverse description | The reverse displays a multi-line Arabic calligraphic inscription arranged in three horizontal registers divided by ruled lines, rendered in bold naskh script. The legend contains mint and regnal information, with the AH date numerals visible in the lower portion of the field, reading 1297. The inscriptions are contained within a plain inner circle surrounded by a continuous beaded border that follows the periphery of the irregularly shaped hammered flan. The overall style is consistent with provincial Afghan gold coinage of the late nineteenth century. |
