| Obverse description | Central field features a circular dotted border enclosing a four-line Arabic inscription bearing the royal titles and name of Muhammad Zahir Shah. The legend reads in Arabic script across the centre of the coin. Flanking the dotted circle on either side are stylised wheat or olive sprays, their stems tied at the base, lending a wreath-like framing to the composition. The Arabic legend 'افغانستان' (Afghanistan) arcs across the upper rim above the dotted border. |
