Beschrijving keerzijde A cardinal's hat surmounts a cross pattée that divides the field into four quarters containing alternating charges of a mitre and a crown. Below the cross, a quartered heraldic achievement displays the arms of the bishopric and the Schrattenbach family. The date is divided by a star at the top center of the coin, split across the upper field. The full legend encircles the design within a beaded border, citing the bishop's secular and ecclesiastical titles.

Aanvullende informatie

Wolfgang von Schrattenbach served as Prince-Bishop of Olomouc from 1711 until his death in 1738, but the two-year window of 1713–1714 represents a specific early phase of his tenure, coinciding with the final stages of the War of the Spanish Succession and the fiscal pressures it placed on Moravian ecclesiastical estates. Bohemian and Moravian bishop-princes retained the right to strike thalers well into the eighteenth century, even as Habsburg imperial coinage increasingly dominated practical commerce — these issues were as much assertions of jurisdictional privilege as they were circulating money.
