Reverse description A finely engraved terrestrial globe dominates the central field, its surface delineated with a latitude-longitude grid and inscribed with continental names including EVROPA, TARTARIA, ASIA, AFRICA, and POLVS ANTARC; the globe is suspended by a rope from a winged heart above, while a sword thrust diagonally from the left severs the rope, symbolising the dissolution of earthly bonds. Radiating sun rays emanate from directly above the winged heart, filling the upper field. Decorative cloud formations flank the composition on either side. The circumferential Latin legend within a beaded border reads DISSOLVOR ANNO 1669, alluding to the death of Landgrave William VI and the subsequent regency.
