| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Wilhelm I of Württemberg, rendered in high relief with finely detailed curled hair. The truncation of the bust is positioned at lower centre and bears the engraver's initial 'W.' The surrounding circular legend reads WILHELM KOENIG VON WÜRTTEMBERG, separated by a dot, and is contained within a finely beaded border. The portrait is executed in the neoclassical style characteristic of early nineteenth-century German coinage. |
