Obverse description Saint George depicted on horseback facing right, clad in armour, thrusting a lance downward to slay a dragon prostrate beneath the horse's hooves. A globus cruciger appears at upper right in the field. The design is executed in high relief in the manner of early seventeenth-century German taler coinage. A Latin legend encircles the central device, naming the three co-ruling counts of Mansfeld.
