Obverse description Central field depicts Saint George as an armored knight on horseback, charging to the right with sword raised, trampling a dragon beneath the horse's hooves. The horse is richly caparisoned with an elaborately decorated saddlecloth rendered in fine relief. Above the horse, a crowned escutcheon appears at the top of the field. The peripheral legend, separated by rosette stops, reads VOLRAT VI ET IOBST II, running clockwise around the coin within a beaded border.
