| Reverse description | The elaborately engraved arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg displayed as a quartered shield, incorporating the lion of Salzburg, the diagonal bars of the chapter, and additional ecclesiastical quarterings, surmounted by an archiepiscopal cross. The shield is ensigned by a princely hat with pendant tasselled cords (infulae) to either side, and flanked by a crozier and a processional cross as insignia of office. The full heraldic composition is set against a plain field, with the date 1769 inscribed in the lower exergue. A circular Latin legend surrounds the entire design. |
