| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, with flowing long wig, occupying the majority of the field. To the left of the bust, a small crowned shield bearing the arms of Hungary; to the right, a small shield bearing the arms of Cremona (CRE). The peripheral legend in Latin reads: LEOPOLDVS · D · G · RO · I · S · AVG · GER · HV · BOH · REX · 1725 CRE, running clockwise around the coin. The portrait is rendered in the high Baroque style characteristic of late 17th-century Habsburg coinage, with fine detail in the drapery and wig. |
