| Description du revers | The reverse presents a seven-line Latin inscription within an elaborate wreath of acanthus leaves and floral ornaments, reading CAPITVLVM METROPOLITANVM MOGVNTINVM SEDE VACANTE 1732, declaring the authority of the Metropolitan Chapter of Mainz during the vacancy of the archiepiscopal see. The date 1732 appears in the exergual line at the base of the inscription. The wreath border is finely engraved in a symmetrical baroque style, framing the text against a smooth, lightly toned field. |
