| Obverse description | Within a beaded circular border and wreath, the armored equestrian effigy of Emperor Otto I on a galloping horse advancing to the right, the horse rearing over rocky ground. The date 1622 is divided below the horse, with the arms of Magdeburg displayed in a shield in the exergue. The circumferential Latin legend reads around the border. The entire design is set within a square klippe flan with beveled edges. |
