Surrounding this central medallion, fourteen individual coats of arms are arranged in an elaborate wreath-like border, each shield contained within its own roundel and separated by decorative floral and figural elements. The arms represent the leading patrician families and civic offices of Memmingen, referencing the coin's designation as a Regimentstaler, or 'Regiment Thaler,' commemorating the city council. Fine engraving throughout the field demonstrates high-quality craftsmanship characteristic of early seventeenth-century South German medallic production.
