Reverse description A large crowned shield bearing an eight-fold coat of arms of the Solms-Hohensolms county, centrally placed and flanked by handle-shaped lateral cartouche elements serving as rudimentary decorative supporters. The shield is contained within an inner circle, with a continuous Latin legend occupying the outer field. The heraldic composition is relatively sparse in ornamentation, consistent with the utilitarian die-engraving style of minor German county issues of the early seventeenth century.
