Reverse description Saint George mounted on horseback, depicted in dynamic right-facing profile, thrusting a lance downward to slay the dragon coiled beneath the horse's hooves. The scene is rendered in high relief with fine detailing of the horse's form and the saint's armour. A small imperial orb marks the commencement of the surrounding Latin legend, which records the comital titles and lordships of Mansfeld. The reverse legend is set within a beaded inner border consistent with hammered Thaler production of the late sixteenth century.
