| Mô tả mặt trước | Within a beaded inner circle struck on a roughly rectangular klippe flan, the crowned Saxon arms — barry of six sable and or with a crancelin in bend — are displayed centrally. The initials MHZS (for Moritz Herzog zu Sachsen) appear above the shield in the upper field, flanked by the split date 15–47 at either side of the arms. The entire design is contained within a rope-like circular border, set against the broad, unworked square flan typical of emergency coinage. The crude but forceful die work is characteristic of hastily produced siege or campaign klippe coinage of the mid-sixteenth century. |
