Obverse description Bare-headed, draped and armored bust of Archduke Maximilian III facing right, wearing an elaborate ruff collar and ornate armor with a chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece across the chest. The date 1613 appears in the right field beside the effigy. A wreath of laurel branches frames the inner legend, which reads MAXIMILIANVS:DG:ARCH:AV:DVX:BVRG:STIR:CARIN in Latin characters, encircling the portrait. The coin is bordered by a fine beaded rim. The portrait is rendered in a high-relief Renaissance style characteristic of the Hall mint.
