Reverse description Central image of the enthroned Madonna and Child, the Virgin Mary seated upon clouds and holding the Christ Child on her left knee, both figures nimbed with haloes; the Virgin wears a crown and long robes, while the Child raises one hand in blessing. The composition is set within a beaded inner border, with the devotional Latin legend arranged around the periphery in bold lettering. The design reflects the strong Marian piety of the Wittelsbach court and the Counter-Reformation iconography prevalent in early seventeenth-century Bavarian coinage. A rope or cable border frames the outer edge of the coin.
