Obverse description Laureate and armored bust of Emperor Rudolf II facing right, wearing an elaborately decorated cuirass with a ruff collar, the mantle draped over the shoulders. A small oval Salzburg countermark dated 16S81 is applied to the chest area of the bust. The date of the host coin appears in the field to the right of the portrait, divided by the bust. The circular legend runs along the toothed border, interrupted by the countermark placement.
