Obverse description Draped and armored bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, with long flowing curled hair, set within a beaded inner circle. The Salzburg countermark, consisting of the archiepiscopal arms in a small oval cartouche, is applied to the field at the lower right of the effigy. The peripheral legend reads LEOPOLDVS D G ROM IMP S A G H B REX, interrupted by the countermarked date 16S81, where the 'S' serves as the Salzburg mint identifier.
