The quartered shield incorporates the striped Hessian lion and additional dynastic arms, all within decorative scrollwork. A beaded inner border frames the heraldic composition. The date 1594 appears at the top of the field, above the crowned helm. The surrounding Latin legend reads CONSILIO. ET. VIRTVTE. ANNO.
