| Obverse description | Facing bust of Holy Roman Emperor and a bishop-saint jointly holding a model of a church above an heraldic shield bearing the arms of Bamberg and of Bishop Marquard Sebastian Schenk von Stauffenberg, flanked by the divided date. The whole is encircled by a Latin legend reading the bishop's full titulature. The composition is executed in the ornate Baroque style typical of late seventeenth-century German ecclesiastical coinage. |

| Reverse description | The Virgin Mary depicted as the Immaculata, standing on a crescent moon amid billowing clouds, holding a sceptre in her left hand and the Christ Child in her right arm, the entire composition surrounded by a radiate glory and enclosed by a circular Latin legend. The image draws on the widespread Marian devotional iconography favoured by the Counter-Reformation Bamberg episcopate and is rendered with fine Baroque engraving characteristic of the Nuremberg die-cutting tradition. |
