| Obverse description | Draped bust of Empress Maria Theresa facing right, her hair elaborately curled and dressed in the Baroque court fashion, with a lace-trimmed décolletage and brooch visible at the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the drapery and coiffure. A continuous Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading M·THERESIA·D·G·R·IMP·GE·HU·BO·REG·, interrupted by the bust. The border is formed by a closely set reeded or toothed rim characteristic of milled coinage from the Hall Mint. |

| Reverse description | Crowned imperial double-headed eagle displayed, each head facing outward, with wings spread, bearing on its breast a large quartered heraldic shield incorporating the arms of Austria, Hungary, Bohemia, Burgundy, and other hereditary territories. The imperial crown surmounts the eagle above. The date appears in the upper left field and a cross or mint mark to the right. The surrounding Latin legend, divided by the eagle's wings, reads ARCHID·AUST·DUX·BU·COM·TYR· followed by the regnal date and mintmark X. The overall composition is characteristic of the High Baroque heraldic style employed at the Hall Mint. |
