| Obverse description | Central field displays the crowned arms of Burgau — a quartered shield bearing the checky pattern of Burgau — flanked by two heraldic supporters: a rearing winged horse (pegasus) to the left and a winged griffin to the right, both rendered in fine relief. The imperial crown surmounts the shield, depicted in elaborate detail with arches, orb, and cross. An ornamental palm or laurel spray decorates the base beneath the shield. The peripheral legend, separated by dots, reads M. THERESIA. D. G. IMP. HU. BO. REG., identifying the empress Maria Theresia by the grace of God, Empress, Queen of Hungary and Bohemia. |
