Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Empress Maria Theresia, her hair elaborately curled and piled, with a mantle bearing an ornate brooch at the shoulder. The effigy divides the encircling Latin legend at the top, with the legend commencing at approximately the 8 o'clock position. The portrait is rendered in a high-relief baroque style typical of mid-18th century Habsburg coinage.
