Reverse description Central field bears a cruciform arrangement of four heraldic shields displaying the quartered arms of the Lordship of Jever and allied dynasties, separated by ornamental cross elements with decorative terminals. A smaller central escutcheon is placed at the intersection of the cross. The composition is executed in the mannered style typical of North German Renaissance coinage of the late sixteenth century. A beaded inner border frames the design, with the Low German devotional legend 'DORCH GODT HAB ICH'S ERHALTEN' (Through God I have preserved it) encircling the periphery.
