Obverse description Elaborately quartered coat of arms of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, displaying lions, a lion rampant, and geometric charges across multiple quarters, enclosed within an ornate baroque cartouche with foliate scrollwork on either side. Surmounting the shield is a row of three coronets, above which rise two crested helms topped by a crowned eagle and a harp, flanked by elaborate mantling.
