Reverse description A rampant lion passant to sinister occupies the central field, depicted with a flowing mane and raised forepaw, set within a beaded inner circle. The date 1668 appears prominently in the upper left field alongside a small rosette ornament. The Latin legend encircles the design around the outer border. The lion, a traditional heraldic emblem of the Grimaldi dynasty, is boldly engraved in a robust baroque style consistent with seventeenth-century Monegasque coinage.
