| Description de l’avers | Central device depicts the Imperial double-headed eagle with spread wings, each head surmounted by a small crown and the whole flanked by a larger imperial crown above. The eagle's breast is plain, and the talons grasp orb and sceptre. The surrounding circular legend reads FERDINANDVS II D G ROM IMP SEM AVG, separated by stops, running along the inner border of the coin. The style is typical of early seventeenth-century German hammered coinage, with bold relief and a slightly uneven flan. |

| Description du revers | Full-length frontal figure of Saint Leodegar (Léger) in elaborate episcopal vestments, wearing a mitre and holding a crozier in his left hand, with a nimbus above his head. Below the saint's figure is a heraldic shield bearing the arms of the Abbey of Murbach, supported by decorative mantling. The circular border legend SANCTVS LEODEGARIVS is divided, reading to the left and right of the figure respectively, interspersed with small decorative stars. The composition is characteristic of ecclesiastical coinage of the Holy Roman Empire, with fine engraving of the episcopal robes and abbatial arms. |
