| Obverse description | Draped bust of Archduke Leopold V facing right, depicted wearing a clerical collar and vestments befitting his ecclesiastical rank, with flowing hair. The date is divided by the bust, with numerals appearing on either side within the inner field. The surrounding legend reads LEOPOLDVS NECNON CÆTERI D G ARCHID AVSTRIÆ, rendered in Latin capitals, enclosed within a beaded border. The portrait is rendered in high relief in the style characteristic of the Hall mint's accomplished die-cutters of the early seventeenth century. |
