| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, his long curled hair falling over his shoulders, wearing lace-trimmed armor with decorative gorget. A laurel wreath crowns his head. The date 1658 appears in the lower left field. The encircling Latin legend reads LEOPOLDVS I D G ROM IM SE AV GE HV BO REX, denoting his titles as Holy Roman Emperor and King of Hungary and Bohemia, separated by a triangular mark.
