正面描述 Draped and laureate bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, depicted as a young ruler with smoothly dressed hair and prominent Habsburg features. The bust breaks a beaded inner circle, with the regnal date in small digits positioned above. The outer legend runs along the coin's rim, separated from the inner field by the beaded border. The portrait reflects the baroque court style characteristic of the Graz mint's output during this period.

附加信息

Leopold I inherited the Habsburg throne in 1658 under immediate pressure — the Ottoman frontier was active, French diplomacy was dismembering imperial influence in the west, and the cost of maintaining both a court and a military was straining the treasury throughout the 1660s. Graz, as the capital of Inner Austria, operated its mint with considerable regional autonomy during this period, producing thalers that circulated as much within the hereditary lands as in broader imperial trade.

Herinek's numbering spanning 605–607 reflects documented die variations across the decade rather than distinct types — a detail worth tracking for serious date collectors, as die linkages between Graz issues of this period remain only partially mapped in the literature.
