背面描述 Crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed within an inner circle, its tail feathers bisected by the NB mintmark. An uncrowned twofold Hungarian coat of arms is borne on the eagle's breast within a U-shaped cartouche, without a central escutcheon and omitting the Moravian title. The date appears at the conclusion of the circumferential Latin legend, which enumerates Leopold's hereditary titles as Archduke of Austria, Duke of Burgundy, and Count of Tyrol.

附加信息

These thalers were struck during one of the most desperate stretches of Habsburg rule in Hungary — the years immediately following the catastrophic Peace of Vasvár in 1664, which ceded significant Hungarian territory to the Ottomans despite the Austrian military victory at the Battle of Saint Gotthard that same year. Leopold I signed the peace anyway, prioritizing the looming conflict with France over the eastern frontier. The decision so enraged the Hungarian nobility that it directly seeded the Wesselényi conspiracy, a plot to overthrow Habsburg rule that would unravel within a decade.

H#1380 and H#1381 represent distinct die combinations documented by Huszár, a distinction the ÉH reference collapses into a single entry.
