| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Archbishop Leopold Anton von Firmian, depicted wearing ecclesiastical robes with a decorative pectoral cross suspended at the chest. The hair falls in long, loosely curled locks to the shoulder in the Baroque manner. A mint mark 'B' appears at the lower edge of the bust truncation. The surrounding legend reads LEOPOLDUS D: G: ARCH: ET PRINCEPS SALISB: S: SED: AP: LEG: GERM: PRIM:, disposed along the inner border of the reeded rim. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine engraved detail characteristic of early eighteenth-century Salzburg minting. |

The circular legend S: R: I: PRINCEPS EX S: AN: DE FIRMIAN surrounds the composition, with the words SALZBURG S: SED: AP: LEGATGERM: PRIM: completing the inscription along the periphery. The overall design is of high Baroque artistic quality, with deeply struck relief and intricate heraldic detail filling the field. |
