Obverse description Central device depicts the crowned Frankfurt eagle displayed, with wings spread and talons prominently rendered, set within a beaded inner circle. The eagle, a traditional civic emblem of the Free Imperial City, is finely engraved with detailed feathering in a baroque style. The circular legend surrounding the inner circle reads AD NORMAM CONVENTIONIS X E F MARK FRANCOFURTI G.P.C.B.N., referencing the Convention standard of the Holy Roman Empire. Mint-master initials G.P.C.B.N. appear in the lower field beneath the eagle. The entire design is framed by a milled outer border.
