Reverse description The reverse of this klippe is entirely plain and unadorned, presenting a flat, featureless silver field with no design, legend, or inscription of any kind. This is characteristic of hastily produced siege coinage, where the reverse planchet was left blank in the interest of expediency during the investment of the city. The square klippe format with bevelled edges is clearly visible, with some natural patination across the surface.
