| Obverse description | Draped bust of Archbishop Joseph Clemens of Bavaria in right profile, wearing a flowing allonge wig with elaborate curled locks cascading over his shoulders, and a clerical pectoral cross visible at the truncation. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the Baroque style. The circumferential Latin legend is divided by the portrait and reads around the periphery of the field. |

| Reverse description | Central crowned quartered arms of the Archbishopric of Cologne and the House of Wittelsbach, displaying the Bavarian lozengy field and lion rampant, surmounted by an elaborate electoral hat. The central shield is surrounded by seven smaller escutcheons in cartouches arranged in a circular pattern, each bearing the arms of Joseph Clemens's various titles and dignities, including Cologne, Liège, Hildesheim, Freising, Berchtesgaden, and others. The date 1694 appears above, flanked by the mintmaster's initials N L below, with the motto legend running along the lower periphery. |
