Reverse description Three nimbed saints standing upon individual labeled pedestals in the Baroque manner: at left St. Columban (labeled ST. COLON LVUS) holding a chalice, at center St. Kilian (labeled ST. KILIA NVS) vested as a bishop with mitre and crozier, and at right St. Totnan (labeled ST. TOTNA NVS) holding a book. All three figures are depicted with radiant halos and rendered in high relief. The circumferential Latin legend HAC MAGNA TRIADE PATROCINANTE • ('Under the patronage of this great Triad') encircles the composition, invoking the three patron saints of Franconia.
